The second class for both sections have ended for this week. Students come and go. A few dropped and added the course in their course list for this semester. In the second session I asked the students to register themselves as the Wikispaces users. It took a while for them to get things right. How funny it is knowing that all of them- yes, all of them are active Facebook users BUT having to register as the Wikispaces users still a challenge for some of them! For those students who got things right, you can see the satisfactions in their eyes. Others who were a bit behind showed a little frustration. I told them that this activity may teach us to be patient. Also, it shows that although we thought that we are familiar with technology, it doesn't mean that we will know everything about technology! Then I asked the students to play around with the Wikispaces features. And their first task is for them to carry out a text chat discussion in their respective team. The discussion should be about the brainstorming of their proposed research topic. They are given approximately one hour for this and they must save the chat log in the Microsoft word document and upload in their Wikispaces.

Before the students left the class, I distributed the questionnaire on Learning Style for them to complete. I explained why their responses are crucial to their learning. I hope they will be honest in responding to the items in it. I will collect their feedback in the next session.
